Neighbour Day was a Success!

THANK YOU to everyone who joined in the fun at June 15’s Neighbour Day at the Country Hills Circle Playground. Despite the gloomy sky, fun was still in the forecast and it was great talking to kids and adults and meeting neighbours. We’re glad you could enjoy a snack and the kids certainly enjoyed all the games.

We have a big pile of suggestions to go through which will help shape the playground’s future 🙂 The Neighbour Day surveys are still being transcribed, but here’s one thing that was easy to action!

Thorny rose bushes with dead branches, with heading text "311 pruning request submitted"

A great suggestion was pruning the rose bushes at the Country Hills Circle playground. Indeed there are a number of ouchy, dead branches. A 311 request was made today to remedy the issue.

Calgary’s tree protection bylaw protects trees and shrubs and prohibits cutting and pruning by citizens, so if you see broken branches or something that needs pruning, call 311 or fill out a request online or in the 311 app.
