The Boosters have been sitting on this news for a while because there wasn’t an exact timeline for installation of a pair of picnic tables. However, we are pleased to announce that the Country Hills Circle playground now has two new picnic tables thanks to the City of Calgary.
Realistically, it will be at least two years before we start seeing a plan come together for a total remodel of the playgrounds. In the meantime we are working hard to make immediate improvements like these through advocating for our community. By working with our Neighbourhood Partnership Coordinator and Parks Strategist, we were able to spur on the installation of these lovely tables at one of our most popular playground areas.
This is groundbreaking for our small group as the Playground Boosters. It’s the first tangible improvement we have made to our local playground areas and marks the start of building our momentum toward shiny new play spaces. One small step for playgrounds, one giant leap for Country Hills’ residents! We hope the community enjoys these new picnic tables to gather and connect for many years to come.
